Internationalization

In recent years, the school has cooperated with a large number of international organizations. It has joined hands with world famous universities to share teaching methods, including the School of Journalism at the Université de Strasbourg and the University of California, Berkeley. Students at the school are well trained in newspaper skills, websites, documentaries and all-media production. Some of their documentaries have been broadcast in the US and received awards from US media platforms such as the Public Broadcasting System.

In 2016, the school cooperated with Beijing Normal University to launch an activity, China in the Eyes of Foreign Youth. More than ten young students from Italy and Serbia were invited to Yunnan to make TV documentaries and completed ten highly-praised works.

The school has a national level Practical and Experimental Teaching Center that covers all areas of the traditional media (newspapers, radio, and television) and new media, providing high quality teaching methodology. The Television Studio in the center is equipped with 4K technology that provides a strong support for students' professional development.
