YNU partners with China Mobile to develop big data industry

Yunnan University (YNU) held a ceremony to mark an agreement with Yunnan branch of China Mobile (YBCM) on jointly developing the big data industry on Dec 25, 2017.

Ma Kui, general manager of YBCM; Yang Lin, Party secretary of YNU; Zhou Xuebin and Zhou Li, vice-presidents of YNU and other representatives from both parties attended the ceremony.

On behalf of YBCM, Ma delivered a speech in which he extended his thanks to YNU for its support and assistance. Ma said that YBCM had established stable partnerships with YNU in various projects.

He also expressed his wish that both parties seize the opportunities presented by the signing ceremony to lift their cooperation to a new level for joint development.

On behalf of YNU, Yang also extended his thanks to YBCM for its support. He expressed his aim to build an internationally competitive big data research team through joining forces with YBCM, leading to new technological breakthroughs.

During the signing ceremony, both parties also announced the establishment of a laboratory established specifically for big data research.

Accompanied by Ma, YNU leaders also visited the exhibition hall at YBCM, to learn about its history and the measures it had taken for national strategy implementation and regional economic growth powered by mobile technology.
