YNU establishes partnership with Yunnan Publishing Group

Yunnan University (YNU) held a ceremony to sign a cooperative deal with Yunnan Publishing Group (YNPG), on Dec 26.

The signing ceremony was attended by Li Wei, Party secretary of YNPG; Tian Dayu, editor-in-chief of YNPG; Hu Ping, Party secretary of Yunnan Education Publishing House; Yang Lin, Party secretary of YNU; Zhang Changshan, deputy Party secretary of YNPG; and Yang Ziyu, Zhou Xuebin and Zhang Li, vice-presidents of YNU, as well as other representatives from both parties. 

YNU Party Secretary Yang Lin delivered a speech at the ceremony, noting that establishing cooperative ties with YNPG would expand cooperation between the two parties in education and publishing, as well as promote integration between businesses and education.

Li Wei, Party secretary of YNPG, expressed his desire for both parties to seize the opportunities presented by the signing ceremony to further cooperation in more fields.

On behalf of Yunnan branch of Xinhua Bookstore Group (YBXBG), Li Donghua, general manager of YBXBG, donated books worth 30,000 yuan ($4,612) to YNU library.

Before the ceremony, YNPG executives were shown around the Research Institute for the Belt and Road Initiative and the library of YNU, and were briefed on the history of the university and the achievements it had made in recent years.
