I. Recruitment targets

Yunnan University aims to recruit academic leaders and distinguished professionals for its key disciplines, those that are qualified to grant doctorates, teach emerging disciplines and others in urgent need of development. Disciplines include:

3. Law (disciplines related to law, politics, ethnology, sociology, Marxist theory, international studies and frontier issue studies)

4. Literature (Chinese language and literature, journalism and communications, Thai, Burmese and Vietnamese)

5. History (Chinese history, world history)

6. Science (mathematics, physics, chemistry, astronomy, statistics, systems science, atmospheric sciences, geophysics, biology, ecology, paleontology, geology, geography and water sciences)

7. Engineering (computer science and technology, information and communications engineering, software engineering, biomedical engineering, cyberspace security, architecture, civil engineering, materials sciences and engineering and energy and chemical engineering)

8. Agronomy (crop science, horticulture)

9. Medicine (basic medicine, pharmacy)

10. Management science (business administration, public management, library information and archives management)

II. Treatment

The personnel will mainly be recruited on six levels. They will be offered a salary, housing subsidy and a relocation allowance, as well as scientific research funds.
