YNU students honored for blood donation

A group of students at Yunnan University (YNU) were honored for donating blood at a ceremony held at Kunming Blood Center, on Dec 25. 

Sponsored by Yunnan education authority, the ceremony was held by the Kunming blood donation authority, Yunnan Education Foundation, Yunnan Kunming Blood Center and Yunnan Association for Blood Transfusion. 

YNU was praised for its work to encourage students to donate blood. A total of 20 students were honored for donating blood, and four were honored for their special efforts to encourage others to donate. 

On behalf of YNU, Yang Yan, deputy secretary of the Youth League Committee of YNU, received the award. Gong Qianbing, a student from YNU’s School of Business and Tourism, represented all the students honored with the award, delivering a speech on their behalf.
