A team at Yunnan University (YNU) has had its groundbreaking medical research findings reported online by the renowned International Journal of Cancer.
The finding, titled “Clinical significance and biological function of WD repeat domain 54 as an oncogene in colorectal cancer”, revealed a previously-unknown relation between the WDR54 gene and colorectal cancer
The research, which was supported by the Natural Science Foundation of China, was conducted by a research team led by Xia Chunjie, professor at the medical school of YNU, and a team led by Chang Wenjun, associate professor at the Second Military Medical University.
The first author of the paper is Yuan Yuncang, a doctorate candidate at the medical school of YNU; and the corresponding authors are Professor Xiao Chunjie and Associate Professor Chang Wenjun at YNU, as well as Associate Professor Chang Wenjun at the Second Military Medical University.
