Yunnan University (YNU) bagged 49 awards for its impressive social science research at an awards ceremony held by the Yunnan Federation of Social Science Circles, in Kunming, capital of Yunnan province, on March 12.
This is the 22nd time that the federation has hosted such an event to honor significant achievements made in social science research across Yunnan.
On this occasion, a total of 170 research findings were honored, 49 of which were the result of work done at YNU. In terms of the number of awards received, YNU received the most awards in the province –– helping cement its place as a top research university.
Covering such fields as political science, Chinese history, ethnic studies, theoretical economics, applicable economics, philosophy, law, Chinese literature, and management –– YNU's research findings recognized at the ceremony included a wide range of disciplines.
Over the past three years, YNU has had 133 of its social science research programs honored by Yunnan Federation of Social Science Circles, leading the way among education providers in the province.
