YNU scholars honored at technology awards conference

The 2018 Yunnan Provincial Science and Technology Awards Conference was held in Kunming, capital of Yunnan province, on May 16 to recognize technology workers who have made significant contributions to technological progress and social development in Yunnan.

Chen Hao, Party secretary of Yunnan, and Ruan Chengfa, governor of Yunnan, attended the conference and handed out the awards.

Lin Wenxun, Party secretary of Yunnan University (YNU), Zhang Li, vice-president of YNU, and other YNU representatives who were recognized for their research were also present at the event.

Eight YNU research projects were recognized with awards during the conference. Among them, four were first-place awards, one was a second-place award, and three were third-place awards. As a participating organization, YNU won three awards, of which two were second-place and one was third-place.

A total of 193 research projects were recognized at the conference.
