Two teams from the School of Mathematics and Statistics at Yunnan University (YNU) earned second-class awards at the 9th National Market Research and Analysis Competition for College Students in Nanjing, capital of Jiangsu province, on May 25.
Sponsored by the Ministry of Education and the China Business Statistics Association, the competition is one of the largest such events for Chinese students. It has become a platform facilitating educational exchanges between the Chinese mainland and Taiwan.
A total of 48,146 students from 408 universities have signed up for the event since October 2018.
After several rounds of competition, nearly 1,000 contestants from 121 universities in 29 provinces and autonomous regions made the finals.
The two research reports delivered by YNU participants, which focused on Yunnan flower cakes and the relations between college students and their parents, respectively, were awarded with second-class prizes.
