Li Qingjun, president of the School of Ecology and the Environment at Yunnan University (YNU), along with four teachers from the YNU department of ecological studies, visited Kasetsart University and its two remote research stations from Jul 28 to Aug 2.
During their visit, YNU delegates talked with Professor Nikhom Laemsak, president of the School of Forestry at Kasetsart University, and four vice-presidentsof the university.
Zhang Zhiming, vice-president of the School of Ecology and the Environment at YNU, discussed the school’s research platform, team, and achievements.
Doctor Kobsak Wanthongchai, vice-president of the School of Forestry at Kasetsart University, briefed the delegation on the current distribution of the university’s research stations and their recent activity.
Delegates from the two universities then signed a memorandum of understanding and explored cooperation possibilities, including studying ecology, building remote research stations, and exchanging postgraduates.
The YNU delegates also visited the Sakaerat and Huai Kok Ma environmental research stations in Thailand and discussed their operations.
