YNU recently organized a team of postgraduate students to support local education in Nujiang prefecture and Fengqing county in Lingcang city. This is the 21st team that YNU has sent to support local education in remote areas.

Before the team set off, Chen Huaxian, deputy party-secretary of YNU, presented the team with YNU’s flag and placed priority on the students’ safety.

Chen also voiced his expectations of the postgraduates: to be responsible and caring. The eight postgraduates also gave speeches promising to do their best to help the local students.

Over the past few years, YNU’s postgraduate team has developed a reputation for helping students in poverty-stricken areas. Their work has been listed among the top ten youth volunteer programs in China and named the “most beautiful teaching team” by the Central Committee of the Chinese Communist Youth League and Guangming Daily.
