More than 20 teachers and students from the Sports Institute of Yunnan University, or YNU, participated in the 11th National Convention on Sport Science of China, which was held at Nanjing University in Nanjing, capital of East China's Jiangsu province, from Nov 1 to 3.
Hosted by the China Sport Science Society, the event was themed around "Scientific and Technological Strengths in Sport Development", attracting more than 4,000 participants across the country.
The convention is regarded as the country's most influential, sports academic event, where experts in the industry showcase advanced research achievements and technologies, while exchanging ideas for further development.
This year's convention included academic exchanges, a sport technological products exhibition, and sport professional sessions.
Among the exhibits selected for display at the convention were the works of one teacher and eight students from the Sports Institute of YNU, and one paper by a student was reported at the event.
It is hoped that the Sports Institute will develop campus sport culture with a focus to provide more platforms upon which students can engage further.
