YNU, Fudan University deepen partnership

Updated: 2019-11-12

A delegation from Yunnan University led by its Party secretary Lin Wenxun visited Fudan University in Shanghai on Nov 8, to discuss further cooperation, university officials said.

The Yunnan delegation included Vice-Presidents Ding Zhongtao and Zhao Qihua, as well as other YNU officials.

Jiao Yang, Party secretary of Fudan University, welcomed the delegation and had a meeting with them, to discuss the partnership.

At the meeting, Lin thanked Fudan's long-term support for YNU's development, pointing out that since 2001 Fudan has been offering help and support to YNU, which efficiently promoted its development.

Lin hoped that Fudan will give further support for YNU in discipline construction, staff teaching improvements, professional training and scientific research, as well as its moves towards being a "double first-class" university –– meaning an international first-class university with first-class disciplines.

Jiao Yang said that Fudan and YNU had established a long-term partnership for nearly two decades, during which time the two had achieved multi-level and high-quality cooperation.

It was to be hoped that the two would deepen their ties and improve services for national and local growth, Jiao added.
