A delegation from Soochow University in Taiwan, led by its president Pan Weida, visited Yunnan University on Dec 3 to discuss further partnership, according to YNU officials.
Li Chenyang, vice-president of YNU, welcomed the delegation and held a meeting with them, together with office and department directors.
Li gave a briefing on YNU’s development in recent years and said that the two universities have established a long-term cooperation in many areas, including summer seminars which provide an exchange platform for students.
Pan said the two had built a stable platform for exchange programs of teachers and students and also developed partnerships in innovation in professional training.
Both senior officials expressed the wish that the two universities will deepen and widen their cooperation, to improve their administrative operations and promote exchanges for teachers and students.
