YNU, BEST jointly establish logistics practice base

A delegation of teachers and students from the School of Business and Tourism Management at Yunnan University visited BEST EXPRESS Yunnan company in Kunming, Yunnan's provincial capital, on Dec 6 to learn about its operations.

YNU officials said that the students were from the majors of logistics management and e-commerce.

At the company's logistics distribution center, YNU teachers and students got an insight into the group's operations and management of logistics, its storage methods, management of order information, the sorting line for goods and other areas.

Following the visit and communications with staff members, students got a better understanding of logistics knowledge and were impressed by the modern efficient and intelligent logistics sector, officials said.

The School of Business and Tourism Management at YNU and the company also signed an agreement following the visit, to jointly build a practice base.

Wu Dong, deputy dean of the School of Business and Tourism Management, said that the establishment of the base would help YNU train more logistics professionals that meet market requirements.

BEST was established in 2007 and has developed into a leading logistics company in the country. The company innovates its business methods by combining internet and information technologies with traditional logistics services.
