New year concert staged at Yunnan University

A new year concert was held at Yunnan University on Dec 12 to welcome the new year, according to YNU officials.

More than 1,200 students and teachers participated in the event.

Organized by the YNU's student art troupe, the concert staged a performance including Chinese folk music, choirs and dancing.

Music and dancing with Yunnan features were performed, as well as pop music.

Organizers said the concert helped improve the aesthetic education of students and promote excellent traditional Chinese culture.
