YNU holds sports, culture exchange week

The first Sports and Culture Exchange Week under the auspices of the China-South and Southeast Asian University Network was held at Yunnan University on Dec 16-20, according to YNU officials.
A total of 88 teachers and students from eight universities in South and South East Asia attended the five-day event.
Participants included delegates from the National University of Laos, Mandalay University and University of Yangon in Myanmar, Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City and Nanyang Technological University in Singapore.
The event aimed to boost cultural exchanges among young people from different countries and enhance their mutual understanding.
It highlighted sports culture lectures, basketball carnivals, national dance experiences, track and field competitions and football and volleyball friendly matches.
About China-South and Southeast Asian University Network
The China-South and Southeast Asian University Network is a platform initiated by Yunnan University in December 2018, allowing Chinese universities to communicate and cooperate with South and Southeast Asian universities.
To this end, the Network has held the South and Southeast Asia University Presidents Forum twice.
It also hosted the Regional Internationalization Development Forum for Higher Education and the International Forum for Young Technical Talent of the China-South and Southeast Asian University Network in June and October, forming a consensus on many issues.
Currently, there are 120 member universities participating in the related activities of the China-South and Southeast Asian University Network. Of these, 76 universities are from countries in South and Southeast Asia.
