YNU hospital acts decisively in epidemic prevention, control

Officials and medical workers at the school infirmary of Yunnan University have done a great deal in the prevention and control of the novel coronavirus pneumonia, according to YNU officials.

Following the epidemic outbreak, staff of the school infirmary held a meeting, to convey the utmost importance of epidemic prevention and control and make prevention plans for the university.

A leading group for containment of the epidemic was established and protective materials for students, teachers and other staff staying at the university were handed out.

In addition, the school infirmary issued forms for the registration of returning students and teachers and regularly monitored their health condition, as well as guided disinfection of the university.

Also, staff of the school infirmary made it top priority to know all they could about epidemic prevention and control, as well as popularizing information in a timely fashion to students and teachers through the university website, WeChat account and on online work groups.

Medical workers are on duty all day at the infirmary in case of emergency, and a comprehensive emergency response plan was also made to ensure that staff contact top treatment hospitals as soon as suspected cases are identified.
