Honz Pharmaceutical Co Ltd, or Honz Pharma, a company headquartered in the city of Haikou in South China’s Hainan province, donated a batch of epidemic prevention materials to Yunnan University on March 20, together with some of its subsidiaries, according to YNU officials.
Li Jianyu, deputy Party committee secretary of YNU, Zhang Li, vice president of YNU and Zheng Jiankai, vice president of Honz Pharma, attended the donation ceremony.
YNU officials said that the materials were donated to support the start of the university’s 2020 spring semester. They included 60,000 face masks, 50 forehead thermometers, 900 bottles of disinfectant and 4,800 bottles of no-wash hand sanitizer.
Li said that the materials will be used to protect the health of teachers and students and he thanked the companies for their social responsibility.
Zheng said that Honz Pharma has established a long-term partnership with universities and colleges in medicine research and development -- and he hoped the materials would help YNU in epidemic prevention and control in the new semester.
