YNU urges construction of national key School of Marxism

Yunnan University in Southwest China's Yunnan province held a meeting about the construction of the university's national key School of Marxism on April 2, according to YNU officials.

Attendees at the meeting included Yang Zhengquan, deputy director of the publicity department of the Yunnan provincial Party committee; Lin Wenxun, Party committee secretary of YNU; Li Jianyu, deputy Party committee secretary of YNU; Duan Hongyun, vice president of YNU, as well as other officials from the provincial publicity department, education department and the campus.

YNU was listed among the nation's third group of key educational units of School of Marxism in July 2017.

Following presentations on the construction conditions for the school at the meeting, Yang Zhengquan pointed out some problems, urging YNU to tackle the challenges and accelerate the construction, so as to play a leading and demonstrative role in Yunnan's schools of Marxism in universities.

YNU officials made details about the construction situation and said that the work would be done within the current year.
