A delegation from the Bank of Communications Yunnan Branch visited Yunnan University in Kunming -- capital of Southwest China's Yunnan province, on May 14, according to YNU officials.

The delegation, led by Zhang Ying, vice president of the branch, came to the university to donate COVID-19 epidemic prevention and control materials and to discuss further cooperation.

Li Chenyang, executive vice president of YNU, met the delegation.

Li said at the meeting that the bank has offered a great deal of support for YNU's development over the recent years and the university thanked it for its support. Li gave a briefing on YNU's development in recent years and hoped that the two sides would deepen their cooperation in such areas as financial support and professional training.

Zhang said that the two had long-term cooperation stretching 24 years, and the branch would offer support for the construction of a smart campus, its financial services and more in other areas, to help its development.

Li received the branch's donations of epidemic prevention materials on behalf of the university, promising they would be used well to ensure teachers and students' health and safety.
