Yunnan University in Kunming, capital of Southwest China’s Yunnan province, has adopted grid management in its dormitories -- to ensure the safety of its students and teachers, who began to return to campus on May 11, YNU officials said.
The system of management has been adopted as a measure to prevent and control the COVID-19 epidemic, they said.
Officials said that members of staff of relevant departments at YNU had received sufficient training on dormitory grid management, to effectively and efficiently implement it in the dormitories.
Lin Wenxun, Party committee secretary of YNU, inspected the roll out of dormitory grid management at the Chenggong campus on May 14 and got feedback from students on the situation and the level of materials reserves. He also listened to their suggestions.
The Party secretary confirmed with members of staff that the new system was in place and urged further improvements and better services for students.
