Notice of 10th Myanmar annual situation and China-Myanmar relations seminar and 1st national Myanmar research youth forum (2020) at Yunnan University

In order to provide an in-depth analysis of the situation in Myanmar and the developments in China-Myanmar relations in 2020, the Institute of Myanmar Studies at Yunnan University and the Center for China's Neighbor Diplomacy Studies at Yunnan University plan to host the 10th Myanmar annual situation and China-Myanmar relations seminar in mid-to-late December. According to past practice, the seminar will invite domestic Myanmar research experts and scholars to make keynote speeches and carry out thesis seminars. In addition, the 1st national Myanmar research youth forum will be held, to attract more young scholars to participate in Myanmar research and promote the development of Myanmar research in China. The preliminary arrangements are hereby notified as follows:

1. When

Mid-to-late December; the seminar will last for one and a half days.

2. Where

Donglu campus at Yunnan University, in Kunming, Yunnan province

3. Schedule

On the first day of the event, the Myanmar annual situation and China-Myanmar relations seminar will be held. The keynote speeches and exchanges will be held in the morning and thematic speeches and discussions will be held in the afternoon. The national Myanmar research youth forum will be held on the morning of the second day, where authors of the selected excellent papers will be invited to deliver speeches and well-known domestic Myanmar research experts will give comments.

The preliminary arrangements for the national Myanmar research youth forum and the call for papers have been released at the same time. Please stay tuned for further details.

4. Other matters

The organizers will open the registration channel after the meeting agenda is determined.
