A delegation led by Zhang Li, vice president of Yunnan University, on May 21-23 visited Lushi town -- in Fengqing county of Lincang city, in Southwest China's Yunnan province -- to survey its work on poverty alleviation, according to YNU officials.

Fengqing county was a poverty alleviation target of YNU and it was announced that it had been lifted out of poverty in April last year.

The delegation visited a mineral water factory in Lushi town, learning about its production, sales and operations and then held talks with local officials about selling agricultural and featured products at YNU.

The delegation also visited YNU's poverty alleviation staff members and students who are providing voluntary education in the town, learning about their achievements, difficulties and hearing their suggestions.
