A delegation from Yunnan University -- in Kunming, capital of Southwest China's Yunnan province -- visited Hebian village in Fengqing county in Yunnan recently on a fact-finding mission.

YNU officials said the delegation went there on June 11-13, to learn about how a poverty alleviation program there was going.

Members of the delegation were from the university's  School of History and Archives, the School of Marxism and the Institute of International Relations of YNU.

Fengqing county was YNU's poverty alleviation project and it announced it had got rid of poverty in 2019, officials said.

YNU officials visited three households in the village to get to know about their lives recently, as well as their difficulties and offered them advice on how to make a better life for themselves.

The delegation also visited a tea leaf factory there, which was built with YNU help.

Following discussions with local officials and YNU staff members currently working in the village, an agreement on an assistance project was reached.
