A jobs fair was successfully held on July 2 at Yunnan University in Kunming -- capital of Southwest China's Yunnan province -- with the aim of recruiting graduates to work in the prefecture-level city of Huzhou in East China's Zhejiang province, according to YNU officials.
Officials and company representatives from Huzhou city, officials from YNU and graduates attended the event.
A total of 136 companies and institutions from Huzhou offered more than 1,800 job positions to YNU graduates.
Chen Huaxian, deputy Party committee secretary of YNU, gave a briefing on the university's development in recent years and its work to promote employment for the 2020 graduates at the event.
She said that Huzhou city and YNU had signed a cooperation agreement on recruiting outstanding people in 2018 and since then nearly 100 YNU graduates had started their careers in Huzhou.
Chen hoped the jobs fair would broaden the existing partnership between two sides.

He said that Huzhou was at an important stage of its development and called for large numbers of outstanding people to come and join in its growth. He urged YNU graduates to visit Huzhou and work there.
