YNU holds successful jobs fair for graduates

Organized by the provincial education department, a jobs fair for graduates in 2020 was held on July 7 at Yunnan University in Kunming -- capital of Southwest China's Yunnan province, according to YNU officials.

Representatives from 103 companies from provinces including Zhejiang, Sichuan, and Yunnan participated in the event.

They offered more than 3,900 jobs -- covering 17 areas such as education, information transmission, software, information technology service, manufacturing, as well as the wholesale and retail trade.

University officials said that the jobs fair was held amid strict novel coronavirus epidemic prevention and control measures, to ensure the safety of participants.

Nearly 1,000 graduates participated in the fair, sending out more than 760 resumes, officials said.

They added that the university has held three offline jobs fair recently, with a total of 214 employers offering more than 7,300 jobs.

The university will organize more online and offline jobs fairs, to broaden employment channels and help more graduates get secure employment.
