Southwest University, YNU deepen their ties

A delegation from Southwest University in China's southwestern municipality of Chongqing on July 13 visited Yunnan University in Kunming, capital of Southwest China's Yunnan province, to discuss expanding their ties, according to YNU officials.

The delegation was led by Pan Xun, deputy Party committee secretary of the university. Li Jianyu, deputy Party committee secretary of YNU and other officials met the delegation.

Li gave a briefing on YNU's development in recent years and said that Southwest University is a national key university  which enjoys similar geographical advantages to YNU.

Li called for the two universities to deepen their cooperation to raise their education levels, so as to serve regional economic and social development.

Southwest University's Pan gave a briefing on its development in recent years and said he hoped to learn about the administration of YNU.

Representatives of both sides discussed team building of instructors, innovation and entrepreneurship work, employment and other subject.

The delegation also paid a visit to the Chenggong campus of YNU.
