Zhejiang University president visits YNU

A delegation led by Wu Zhaohui, president of Zhejiang University, visited Yunnan University (YNU) on Aug 3.

Fang Jingyun, president of YNU, gave an overview of YNU's development in recent years to the delegation. He noted that Zhejiang University has provided all-around help to YNU for a long time, especially in the "Double First-Class" construction.

YNU will strive for further progress in high-quality talent cultivation, high-level academic research, as well as efficient management service with the continuing support of Zhejiang University, said Fang.

All works have been advanced smoothly after a cooperation agreement was signed between the two universities in November 2019. The visit to YNU was expected to deepen cooperation in disciplines like ecology, said Wu.  

The two sides had an in-depth discussion on the construction of the ecology discipline, as well as the plateau mountain ecology and earth environment discipline group at a symposium.
