YNU delegation outperforms in national MPA competition

Three works by the participating team of the School of Government of Yunnan University (YNU) were included in the top 100 national cases in the 4th National MPA (Master of Public Administration) Case Competition. They also won three Excellence Awards, while the Government Management School won the Excellent Organization Award.

Since 2018, the School of Government of YNU has made efforts to develop MPA construction by formulating incentive policies, forming professional teams, and incubating excellent works. It has guided students to participate in the National MPA Case Competition and encouraged teachers to contribute to the China Professional-degree Case Center of the Ministry of Education.

At present, the school has won one second prize in the national case competition, eight top 100 excellence awards, and two outstanding organization awards. Moreover, it has had 16 cases included in the case database of the Ministry of Education.

The National MPA Case Competition was established in 2016 and hosted by the National MPA Education Steering Committee. It is one of the thematic events of the China Postgraduate Innovation & Practice Competitions, as well as a competition with the highest domestic standards and the most participating colleges.

The China Professional-degree Case Center was established by the China Academic Degrees & Graduate Education Development Center (CDGDC) and relevant professional degree education steering committees. It is a national-level professional degree teaching case library, with the most comprehensive degree categories and the most distinctive features. It is widely recognized and internationally renowned.

The case construction experience of the School of Government of YNU is not only recognized by the National MPA Education Steering Committee, but also enjoys a strong reputation among public administration colleges and universities nationwide.

In the future, the YNU team will contribute to the university's "Double First-Class" construction - the school's efforts to build itself into a world-class university with world-class disciplines. It will also contribute more national-level achievements, as well as improve the quality of talent training and professional competitiveness.
