Duan Hongyun, vice president of YNU, said at the opening ceremony that the regulation of oogenesis and embryo development is the first basic science center project participated in by YNU, adding that the university will make every effort to ensure the smooth development of the project.
The expert group conducted speeches, reports, and in-depth discussions on the progress of the project, as well as put forward opinions and suggestions on the project's future research work.
The basic science center is the most funded project to date of the National Natural Science Foundation of China and started its pilot construction in 2016. The project aims to integrate domestic advantageous scientific resources, rely on high-level academic leaders, as well as attract and gather outstanding scientific and technological talents at home and abroad to form a number of academic hubs with important international influence.
