YNU, national construction enterprise set up practice base

The Students Career Center of Yunnan University (YNU) signed a cooperation agreement with the Yunnan branch of China Construction Third Engineering Bureau Co, a wholly-owned subsidiary of China State Construction, on Oct 19 to jointly build a practice base for student employment and entrepreneurship.

In recent years, the Yunnan branch of China Construction Third Engineering Bureau Co and YNU have forged a successful cooperative relationship in personnel training, transportation, and employment. The cooperation agreement signed this time is aimed at further coordinating and promoting the sharing and interaction of school-enterprise education elements, as well as innovation and entrepreneurship education resources. It also aims at establishing a shared collaboration and linkage practice teaching platform to further deepen school-enterprise cooperation.

Representatives of both parties signed the Cooperation Agreement on the Construction of a Student Employment and Entrepreneurship Practice Base at the signing ceremony. YNU appointed Zheng Jie, deputy Party secretary and chairman of the Labor Union of the Yunnan branch of China Construction Third Engineering Bureau Co, and Tian Guiqing, deputy general manager, as the employment and entrepreneurship instructor of YNU.

Yang Yunchuan, director of the Students Career Center of YNU, said that the two parties will establish a long-term cooperation mechanism for talent training and human resources based on the principles of resource sharing, complementary advantages, mutual cooperation, and common development.

The two sides will carry out the cultivation of innovative and compound talents with the help of the business incubation platform. They will also jointly study the issues that concern enterprises and provide solutions for the development of enterprises from the professional theoretical level relying on the scientific research platform of the university.

School-enterprise resources will be integrated to promote the in-depth development of entrepreneurship and innovation education, the integration of industry and education, as well as the realization of higher quality employment and entrepreneurship opportunities for YNU students.
