6. YNU accelerated research on projects approved by the National Social Science Fund of China.
In 2020, six major projects were approved by the National Social Science Fund of China, covering disciplines including ethnology, Chinese history, management and international studies. YNU sped up research on these projects, which will promote its "double first-class" construction -- the university's efforts to build itself into a world-class university with world-class disciplines.
7. One research result was selected into the National Achievements Library of Philosophy and Social Sciences.
In September, a paper by Professor Zhou Qiong from the School of History and Archives was selected for the National Achievements Library of Philosophy and Social Sciences for 2019, making it the fifth research achievement of YNU to be selected for inclusion at the library.
8. The transformation ability of scientific research achievements has been significantly improved.
In 2020, the philosophy and social sciences disciplines at YNU continuously transformed their disciplinary advantages, geographical advantages and cultural advantages into development advantages, serving society through scientific research.
More than 100 research results were adopted by the central, provincial and ministerial units and a range of think tank publications in 2020, demonstrating that the university's social science research transformation ability and research service ability have been significantly improved.
9. The department of ethnic and frontier studies was established.
In October, YNU established the department of ethnic and frontier studies, which will play an important role in building the university's discipline system, academic system and discourse system of ethnology, politics, history, international relations and border governance.
