The Affiliated Hospital of Yunnan University received the "tertiary first-class hospital" license and certificate in January of this year, according to hospital reports.

This followed a multi-level, comprehensive inspection and review of the hospital by seven experts from the Health Commission of Yunnan Province in July 2020 and the commission's approval after the hospital's re-examination in December.

The Affiliated Hospital of Yunnan University has always adhered to the service tenet and core values of "patient-centered" and "caring for life, patients first." It has continuously improved the quality of medical technology and its service level and strengthened the development of medical disciplines.

The healthcare facility has also undertaken various social welfare tasks, and it strives to promote the advancement of the province's healthcare sector.

It currently has two national clinical specialties, namely general surgery and rehabilitation medicine. Ophthalmology at the hospital ranks 13th among the country's best clinical disciplines, as assessed by the national medical big data system.

The hospital is a national drug clinical trial institution. It also boasts five national training bases, three provincial-level clinical medical center construction projects, six key clinical specialties in Yunnan province, four provincial-level medical quality control centers, eight expert workstations in Yunnan province, and three science and technology innovation teams in Yunnan.

Embracing its new position as a "tertiary first-class hospital," the Affiliated Hospital of Yunnan University will further standardize its medical practices, improve its technical levels and service quality, and promote healthcare's sustainable development. It will also make positive contributions to the health of Yunnan residents.
