YNU develops bilingual teaching system in economics and management

To give full play to the regional characteristics of Southwest China's Yunnan province, improve the internationalization of school education and cultivate top-notch innovative talents in the new era, Yunnan University (YNU) has taken the lead in building a first-class bilingual teaching system in economics and management. 

The university carried out in-depth reform planning and exploration for five years, updating teaching concepts and building four platforms.

It has built a new curriculum system to provide a platform for the collaborative training of international students in China and YNU's talents. The university also created a bilingual course group, formed a bilingual teaching course exchange platform and significantly increased the number of bilingual professional courses.

YNU developed an international online teaching platform offering all-English online courses and innovated its teaching methods. It also built an online and offline teaching exchange platform.

The teaching system has achieved remarkable results, as students' English level has improved and teachers' teaching abilities have also improved. 

Students' cross-cultural communication ability has also been improved, and their global vision has been greatly broadened.

In the future, YNU will continue to increase support for teachers to offer undergraduate bilingual and full-English courses and strive to improve the professional English level and cross-cultural communication skills of undergraduate students. 

The university will also strengthen cooperation with relevant universities around the world in bilingual and full-English teaching.
