On April 16, Yunnan University (YNU) and Yunnan Sino-Precious Metals Holding Co Ltd signed a cooperation agreement covering scientific research, talent training and more.
Fang Jingyun, president of YNU, said at the signing ceremony that new materials, new energy, modern information technology and biomedical engineering are the university's key development areas during the 14th Five-Year Plan period (2021-25). YNU will strengthen its teaching team and construct major technology platforms to cultivate top-notch innovative talents, accelerate scientific research and development and transform sci-tech achievements.
The cooperation plan between YNU and the company will integrate the advantages of both sides and encourage collaboration in scientific research, talent training and employment. It will also integrate the development of science and technology and industry, said Fang.
The two sides will cooperate to make greater contributions to the high-quality development of Yunnan province, he added.
Guo Junmei, general manager of the company, said that the group shoulders the responsibility of developing into a world-class high-tech enterprise specializing in precious metals.
The cooperation agreement between the company and YNU will provide power for technological innovation and industry progress in the field of fine metals, contributing to the high-quality development of Yunnan's economy and society, she added.
