YNU alumnus donates to YNU students

A donation ceremony of the "Kunzhou Grants" was held on June 2 at Yunnan University (YNU) in Kunming, the capital city of Southwest China's Yunnan province.

The ceremony saw the participation of representatives from Yunnan Kunzhou Construction Engineering Group, the secretariat of the Yunnan University Education Foundation and other related departments, along with 33 students from 21 schools.

Hu Jianfeng, secretary-general of the Yunnan University Education Foundation, welcomed representatives from Kunzhou Group and briefed them on YNU's development in recent years.

Lin Yan, on behalf of Gao Yunquan, the chairman of Kunzhou Group, donated 100,000 yuan ($15,620) to YNU and encouraged students to study hard.

Kunzhou Group was established in 2011. Its chairman, Gao Yunquan, is an alumnus of YNU, having graduated with a master's degree in business administration in 2015.
