The Online China-Bangladesh Language and Culture Camp, hosted by the Chinese Embassy in Bangladesh and Yunnan University, was launched on Sept 12 and attracted nearly 70 participants.
The event was organized by the Confucius Institute at Dhaka University, the Confucius Institute at North South University, and the School of Foreign Languages at Yunnan University.
Young students from China and Bangladesh are expected to make full use of the event as a platform to communicate and learn from each other and jointly improve their language skills and cultural understanding to contribute to China-Bangladesh relations.
The online camp will consist of three phases in September, October, and November, respectively, with various learning and exchange activities.
The first phase of the event attracted more than 40 Bangladeshi students from the Confucius Institute at Dhaka University and Chinese students from Yunnan University and Peking University.
They will learn and communicate with each other about language and culture on Sept 12-26.
