Yunnan University calls for logo designs for 100th anniversary

Yunnan University (YNU) in Kunming, capital of Southwest China's Yunnan province, will celebrate its 100th anniversary in April 2023. To promote the university and get people interested in the celebration activities, YNU wants people to submit logo designs to mark the special occasion. Details are as follows:

I. Who can submit designs:

Staff members and students from YNU, alumni, and the general public.

II. Deadline:

Feb 24, 2022

III. Requirements of the logo design:

1. A distinct theme

The logo for the 100th anniversary celebration of YNU (including logo patterns and corresponding text, etc.) should highlight YNU's history, cultural heritage, and academic life.

2. Strong artistic expression

The logo design should be unique, rich in connotation, profound in meaning, innovative, distinctive, and have a strong visual impact.

3. Easy to use for promotional purposes

The logo will mainly be used for the promotion of the 100th anniversary of YNU. It should be suitable to be used on websites, prints, and souvenirs, as well as at celebration-related activities. It must be suitable for alterations if necessary.

IV. Requirements of submission

The logo designer must submit the design's A4-sized color draft (indicating CMYK color value) and electronic version, attached with descriptions of the design concept and graphics (max. 500 words).

V. How to submit

The application form and the design must be submitted in both paper and electronic forms. There are three ways to submit:

1. Letter: Please mail the paper version (electronic version of the submission can be attached) of the application form and the design to the organizer, and indicate the words "Yunnan University 100th Anniversary Logo Collection" in the lower left corner of the envelope. Mailing address: Party Committee Promotion Department (News Center), Room 503, Mingyuan Building, Yunnan University, Chenggong District, Kunming, Yunnan Province.

2. E-mail: Please send the electronic version of the application form and the design as an attachment to the dedicated mailbox: ynunews@163.com. The subject of the e-mail should be "Yunnan University 100th Anniversary Logo Collection".

3. On-site submission: Please seal both the paper and electronic versions of the application form and the design, and deliver them to the Party Committee Promotion Department of YNU (Room 503, Mingyuan Building, Chenggong Campus of YNU).
