YNU department explores new talent training model

For years, the teaching and research team of the public administration department of the School of Government at Yunnan University (YNU) has been exploring a discipline talent training model, and has made a series of teaching achievements.

Based on experiments, training, and internships, the team has been able to integrate the resources of universities, government departments, society, and enterprises, forming a multi-layered training system.

Thus, teachers' initiative in teaching and research and students' practical abilities have improved. So far, 16 teacher-student cooperation cases of the public administration department have entered into the professional degree case base of national education-related departments.

The public affairs management and administrative management majors have been selected as national first-class undergraduate majors.

In addition, the team's practical exploration experience has been promoted and reported. The team has made special speeches and presentations at international conferences many times, and the relevant teaching reform achievements have spread to many universities in Yunnan province.

These achievements have helped with the development of the public management personnel training model with Chinese characteristics in border ethnic group areas, and serve as a reference for the training of other relevant disciplines and professionals.
