The second phase of the China-Bangladesh Language and Culture Exchange Camp, sponsored by the Confucius Institute of University of Dhaka in Bangladesh and the School of International Chinese Language Education at Yunnan University (YNU), concluded on Dec 13.
The event aimed to promote language and cultural exchanges and cooperation between young people in China and Bangladesh.
During the three-week event, 26 postgraduates from YNU and 26 students from the Confucius Institute of the University of Dhaka formed into pairs.
They completed the oral Chinese teaching and training tasks for intermediate and advanced HSKK levels, which test a person's oral Chinese ability.
Also, five volunteer teachers from the Confucius Institute commented on the teaching and talked about the progress of each group in the six courses.
At the closing ceremony, Gan Chunjie, deputy secretary of the School of International Chinese Language Education at YNU, expressed her satisfaction with the progress of the teachers and students.
Yang Hui, Chinese director of the Confucius Institute, said that she hoped that students from the two countries would maintain their enthusiasm for learning and continue their language and cultural exchanges.
