In June 2021, Guo, who was invited to speak YNU's 2021 graduation ceremony, shared his secret to success with students.

"I have studied and worked at Yunnan University for nine years. My alma mater has shaped my worldview and taught me the ability to analyze and solve problems," he said.

Guo created an innovation and entrepreneurship award at YNU in 2019. During the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, he donated pandemic prevention packages to his alma mater to help students return to school.

Also in 2021, he donated 5 million yuan ($786,013.14) to YNU to establish the Hansheng Scholarship. It is expected to be handed out to 60 outstanding students every year to encourage them to continuously improve their abilities.

"This scholarship will be around as long as I live," Guo said confidently.
