In an article entitled "China's Capabilities Shine at the Winter Olympic Games", he introduced the theme slogan, event composition, venue features of the Beijing 2022, as well as the comprehensive series of measures being undertaken by China in the context of COVID-19.

He believed the Beijing 2022 is showcasing China's strengths, resilience and dynamism.

During his time as a teacher, his courses are said to have been well received by his fellow teachers and students. Additionally, he is understood to pay close attention to the study of Sino-foreign relations, including progress of the Belt and Road Initiative in South and Southeast Asian countries.

The Sri Lankan has made great contributions to the development of the foreign language department of Yunnan University, as well as in cultural exchanges between China, his country and the world.
