YNU adds teaching center at provincial art museum

The School of Art and Design at Yunnan University, or YNU, and the Yunnan Provincial Art Museum recently held an award ceremony to mark the joint establishment of an art teaching and research practice center at the museum.

Leaders of relevant departments from the two sides, as well as the representatives of teachers and students of YNU – located in Kunming, capital of Southwest Yunnan province – attended the ceremony.

For a long time, the museum and YNU have been cooperating in art education, training and social practices, and they are said to have provided a large number of professional talent in the fields to China.

The establishment of the teaching practice center, aims to provide a platform for teachers, students and artists to display and cultivate art, and improve students' professional qualities.

The two sides conducted talks on a gamut of issues such as student training and achievement exhibitions. They expressed the expectation they would cultivate more projects in the future.

After the ceremony, the participants visited the museum together. They learned about the on-site situation for the teaching and research center, gaining a deeper understanding of its operation.
