Updated: Apr 8, 2022

The list of winners for the online dubbing competition for Chinese television and film works – in the 2021 "Chinese Bridge" Global Chinese Language Conference for Foreigners – was recently announced and Yunnan University, or YNU, located in Kunming city in Southwest China's Yunnan province, figured among the names.

The Confucius Institute of the University of Tehran, or CIUT, won the Excellent Organization Award, while four teachers at the institute won the title of Excellent Instructor and 22 students won an Excellence Award.

CIUT was jointly established by Yunnan University and the University of Tehran. It focuses on teaching Chinese, while promoting academic exchanges and cooperation between the two universities.

The competition is hosted by the Sino-Foreign Language Exchange and Cooperation Center. It is popular among students majoring in Chinese at the University of Tehran and 22 of its students participated.

"No effort, no gain," declared a proud student at the Confucius Institute.

The institute hopes that more Chinese language lovers in Iran will join in – taking the Chinese language as a bridge with which to jointly explore the cultures of China and Iran.
