The School of Business Administration and Tourism Management at Yunnan University – located in Kunming, capital city of Southwest China's Yunnan province – recently prioritized undergraduate education and it has reportedly achieved top marks in its endeavor.
Majors
This year, two projects led by professors Lyu Wanqing and Zhao Shuhong at the college were selected for the Yunnan Higher Education Undergraduate Teaching Achievement Project.
Integration of science, education
In 2022, the virtual teaching and research section of the core course group for tourism management majors, led by Professor Tian Weimin, was selected as one of the first national pilot projects for the development of virtual teaching and research.
Teachers Sang Ling and Chen Xi won first and second prize, respectively in the Yunnan Division of the second National College Teacher Teaching Innovation Competition and the fifth Yunnan Province College Teacher Teaching Competition.
Creativity
At present, the school has registered 15 projects with the Ministry of Education's industry-university collaborative education project. At the same time, it continues to develop its public compulsory "College Students' Innovation and Entrepreneurship Education" courses and expand its specialized and integrated courses.
In the 7th China International "Internet +" College Students Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition, its team, led by teachers and students, won one national gold award and one bronze.
In addition, the college also won two gold awards in a national competition themed on rural vitalization.
