The innovative practice project of high-level international talent training in Yunnan University has been optimized and upgraded, and a series of lectures by esteemed academics is on offer to all students in the university.

The first group of three lectures in this series aims to promote the spirit of science. Lectures were given by professors from Cambridge University, Stanford University, and Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

The first lecture will be given by Geoff Hayward, a professor at the Faculty of Education, Cambridge University.

Topic: Cultivation of High Potential Talent, Unlocking the Secret of Lifelong Learning

Content:

3. The important role of world-class universities in talent cultivation

4. Lifelong learning – the only way to cultivate talent in the new era

The second lecture will be given by H. Craig Heller, a professor of biology at Stanford University.

Content:

Time: 9 am on May 15

The third lecture will be given by Professor Edward Schiappa, School of Social Sciences, Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Topic: How to stop the epidemic from causing mental damage

Content:

1. What impact has social media had on us during the pandemic?

2. How does media shape our perception of the world?

3. Association of social media use with mental health problems

4. Proper use of social media and tips for staying positive
