National teaching, research office sets up branch in YNU

The Virtual Teaching and Research Office of the Basic Experiment Course of Biology of the Ministry of Education recently decided to set up a teaching and research branch in the School of Ecology and the Environment of Yunnan University (YNU).

It has been reported that the virtual teaching and research office is an online exchange and resource sharing platform for curriculum development, resource construction and teaching reform research for 10 courses, including plant biology experiments, animal biology experiments, biochemistry experiments, microbiology experiments, immunology experiments, and genetics experiments.

The purpose is to drive the construction and development of basic biological experiment courses in the life sciences, medicine, health, agricultural and forestry science and technology, the environment and other related majors in the country.

Over the next five years, the virtual teaching and research office will strive to achieve the following scientific research goals: develop 10 courses sections with basic biology experiments, attract 100 member universities, train more than 1,000 backbone experimental teachers, benefit tens of thousands of college students, set up 10 course teaching and research teams, build more than 100 "sub-teaching and research offices" in colleges and universities, organize more than 1,000 teacher training sessions and seminars, and develop more than 10,000 high-quality teaching resources.

The School of Ecology and the Environment will actively participate in the construction of the virtual teaching and research office and strive to raise YNU's experimental teaching level.
