Yunnan University (YNU) recently signed a cooperation framework agreement with the Honghe area of the China (Yunnan) Pilot Free Trade Zone. This cooperation is an important strategic deployment of the university's action plan for serving Yunnan.
Hu Jinming, vice president of YNU, emphasized that relevant departments at the university should work to build the three platforms of frontier national unity and progress demonstration research center, the cross-border ecological security research center, and the border opening demonstration research center in the near future.
Xu Gaohong, deputy governor of Honghe prefecture, said that the government of the prefecture will facilitate cooperation between the two parties, build a good cooperation platform, provide cooperation resources, and make every effort to promote bilateral cooperation.

Next, YNU and the Honghe area will rely on the three research centers to carry out in-depth cooperation on more than 30 projects in talent training, scientific and technological cooperation, consulting services, personnel training, and resource utilization.
Additionally, YNU will strive to improve the work quality and effectiveness of the area's border opening, strengthen unity among ethnic groups, and improve ecological security, making first-class contributions to enhancing regional innovation capabilities and promoting regional economic and social development.
