Undergraduate military training held at Yunnan University

The 2022 undergraduate military training was held at Yunnan University's Chenggong Campus, in Kunming, capital of Southwest China's Yunnan province, on July 11.

Before the mobilization, a flag-raising ceremony was held and all teachers and students sang the national anthem.

Chen Huaxian, deputy secretary of the Party committee of Yunnan University, told the event that military training for college students was important to comprehensively improve their characters and to cultivate young people with ideals, morals, culture and discipline.

The military training will last 14 days. In accordance with the requirements of the military training program, the university has organized internal affairs arrangements, formation movements and posture training, light weapon shooting skill training, evacuation drills, firefighting practice, first aid and mutual rescue training, psychological development training and other content.

It is felt that through the military training, students will master basic military knowledge and skills. It will also stimulate their patriotic enthusiasm, enhance their concept of national defense and national security awareness and further improve their overall characters.
